Abwoch Medical Outreach Reached 301 People in One Day

On 3 July 2026, our pre-launch medical outreach at Abwoch Health Centre III in Tochi County, Omoro District, brought integrated primary healthcare and diagnostic screening directly to rural families under the theme "Rooted in Community, Rising in Health: The AWIHF Story."

Delivered in close collaboration with Tackle Sickle Cell Africa, TASO Gulu Centre, Reproductive Health Uganda, Hashtag Gulu, and Abwoch Health Centre III, the outreach provided general medical consultations, sickle cell screening, HIV testing, cervical cancer screening, and modern family planning.

By the end of the day, 301 community members were reached and 71 received documented diagnoses and treatment, proving the immense value of bringing coordinated, multi-partner frontline healthcare closer to underserved rural communities.
